Hikaru, are you free today? Can I come over?
Hikaru blinked upon reading Yabu's message, not knowing how to respond. It wasn't like Yabu hasn't been there—it's just that, today was their day off and he wanted to spend the entire time catching up with some sleep. He sighed as he fiddled with his phone, sending his reply.

Bring food if you want me to let you in though
He tossed his phone somewhere over the bed before cocooning himself in his blanket, drifting off once again to sleep.
"Hikaru, wake up."
"Ngh—tsk, go away.."
"I brought ca~ke."
Hikaru's stomach growled upon hearing 'cake,' that he immediately woke up, eyes wide open. He turned to look at the intruder of his peaceful slumber, squinting his eyes, until he recognized Yabu, who sat cross-legged on his floor, grinning at him like a kid. He sighed. "How the hell were you able to come in here?"
"Your mom let me in," Yabu deadpanned, earning him a scowl from his sleepy friend.
"Said you brought cake."
"Yup, better wake up if you want a slice of it or else I'm eating everything."
"I'll kick you out."
"Like hell your mom will let you."
Hikaru groaned as he sat up, his eyes immediately lighting up at the sight of the fruity cake placed atop his table. He turned and stretched his arms, grabby hands reaching for it, but Yabu swatted it away. "I thought this was for me?!"
"And me!!" Yabu huffed. Hikaru sighed.
"Fine, fine, we'll share then," he said, waving a dismissive hand before feeling his stomach churn again. "Na, Ko-chan, I really wanna eat, I'm so hungry."
"Of course, you'd be hungry. It's almost four in the afternoon." Hikaru gaped as he glanced at his wall clock. It was fifteen minutes before the clock strikes four. He made a face as he got down the bed, sitting next to his friend.
"...did you happen to see if Mom made any food?"
"Now that you've mentioned it, she did. She actually set aside food for you in case you got hungry. Do you want me to get it?"
Hikaru shook his head. "No, I'll get it, you're a guest so—"
"I insist," Yabu said firmly, and Hikaru found himself resigning to his whims. Yabu left the room momentarily before coming back in with a wooden tray, bowls of food occupying the whole space. "Auntie said she'll go out for a bit."
"Uh, I think this is fish."
"Oh, anything will do now—give me my food." Yabu chuckled as he knelt, pushing the cake a little to the side of the table before laying the tray on his lap, setting his food in front of Hikaru.
"Here you go~"
"I feel like a baby."
"Aren't you one?"
"No!" The younger scowled again, making Yabu laugh. Hikaru pouted as he watched his leader have a fit. He huffed, crossing his arms in front of his chest and turned to face his back to his friend. "It's like you just came here to tease me."
"That's not true," Yabu chuckled, scooting to sit next to Hikarun poking his sides. The latter fidgeted, trying to move away from Yabu's fingers.
"Come on, Hikaru. I was only looking out for you~ " Hikaru tried to swat Yabu's hands away, but to no avail; the older one was persistent. He held his laughter back, the corners of his lips twitching uncontrollably as he was tickled.
"Yabu, stop it!!"
"Can't stop, won't stop~"
"Yabu—" Traitorous laughs escaped his lips as he fell on the floor, wriggling away from his friend. If there was anyone he can't get mad at (or if ever he does, it doesn't last long), it was Yabu. He tossed and turned, in the hopes of tiring his leader out, but it seemed impossible. Yabu's hands just kept coming back. "—alright, alright, okay! I am a baby, okay, just stop i~t!!"
Yabu pulled his hands away from him, a wide grin plastered on his face. He wiped the beads of sweat that has formed on his forehead with the back of his hand. "There we go~ shall we eat now, before everything gets cold?"
"The cake is already cold."
"I know that idiot, I meant your lunch."
Hikaru sighed contentedly as he leaned, resting his back against his bed. He tapped his rounded belly, a grin plastered on his face. "Woo, some meal that was~"
"It was, wasn't it?" Yabu said as he occupied the bed, completely taking over the whole space. "The cake was delicious too~"
"Yeah, the cake was great and the meal was only supposed to be mine, but you had a fill of it too."
Yabu chuckled. "Thank you for the meal~"
"Thank you!? Now you owe me a full meal—and what the hell are you doing on my bed, old man?" Hikaru exclaimed in disbelief but Yabu could only sleepily laugh, scooting over to one side of the bed. Hikaru raised a brow. "What are you doing now?"
"Come lie down with me then~"
Hikaru gasped, eyes widening at his leader's statement. "You want me to lie down with you!?"
"Idiot, not in that sense—"
"You want to sleep with me!?"
"Hikaru, I did not mean it like th—"
"What do you plan on doing to me!?" Hikaru exclaimed again, crossing his arms over his body, pretending to feel violated, a fake scowl on his face. Yabu threw a pillow at him, chuckling.
"Idiot," was all he can say as he rolled to his side, facing the wall. Hikaru softly laughed as he picked up his pillow before making his way to his bed, sitting beside Yabu.
"Ko-chan." Yabu felt his friend's finger poke his waist.
"That was a nice lunch."
"...you can come here any time."
Yabu nodded, a small chuckle escaping his lips. "Alright, I'll keep that in mind."
Silence again. "Ko-chan."
"Yes, Hikaru?" Yabu half-groaned, wondering if he was doing this on purpose.
"Are you sleepy?"
"Just a bit........yeah, actually, I am."
"Okay, go to sleep."
"Okay," Yabu replied as he yawned just a bit, stretching, before curling up, letting sleep take over his bod—
"HIKARU!!" The older one exclaimed, half-annoyed and half-amused. Hikaru laughed at his reaction, shaking his head. Yabu pouted slightly. "Could it be… this is this payback for waking you up?"
"Pin-pon~ you’re right ♪"
"B-b-but I brought you cake!"
"Yeah, and now you're sleeping on my bed."
"...touché," Yabu sighed in defeat. "Just go to sleep, bro."
"But I just woke up."
"Then I'm going to sleep, if you don't mind~"
"Go right ahead."
Hikaru chuckled and shook his head in amusement as he heard the soft snore escape his friend. He pulled and draped his blanket over Yabu, who stirred slightly in his sleep. He sat next to him, watching him curiously, a sly grin slowly making its appearance on his face.
He fished his phone out of his pajama pocket, stealing a photo of his sleeping friend, laughing evilly, before standing up to adjust his AC at a lower temperature, wanting to sleep in a colder room. He went back to his bed and gently laid down beside Yabu, who sitrred and moved to hug him like a pillow.
"Y-Ya-Yabu—" he struggled to get out of Yabu's grip, but to no avail. Hikaru sighed as he relaxed eventually. In the years he's known Kota, it wouldn't be easy to tear him away from anything he regards as a pillow in his sleep. He sighed in defeat, smiling fondly at the older kid. He pulled the blanket over Yabu him, allowing him to snuggle more to his warmth.
Maybe he'll ask Yabu or any of the members to come visit him during day-offs. He grinned toothily as he closed his eyes, making a mental note out of it. Whoever comes next time better bring cake like Yabu did today.
"Rest well, Leader," he whispered as he pat his friend's head before crossing his arms on the pillow, resting his head on it, his eyes glued on the ceiling before it slowly drifted close, sleep slowly took over him once more.
